All information in this article is for general guidance only. For decisions regarding benefits or claims, only the insurance terms and conditions in force at the time apply. In case of doubt, the terms and conditions always take precedence.
Through our Bikeleasing Comfort Insurance, damages such as fall and accident damages or tire punctures can be submitted. Generally, only damages with a clear cause of damage are insured. A detailed overview of our insurances and services can be found in the following article: Overview of Insurances and Services or in our Insurance and Service Manual. Information on how to bill wear and tear repairs or inspections can be found here: Report a Wear Damage through the Bikeleasing Wear Insurance and How do I bill an inspection through the Bikeleasing portal?
If a Bikeleasing user comes to your store with damage to their bike, proceed as follows:
Step 1: Request the Required Data
- If the bike user is your customer, you can find their leasing contract by name in the Bikeleasing portal.
- If it is an external customer, you absolutely need the leasing contract number or the Bikeleasing user ID.
Step 2: Report Damage in the Portal
- Log in with your dealer account to the Bikeleasing portal and select Insurance Claims from the menu bar on the left. In the submenu that opens, click on Report Damage.
- An overview of all active leasing contracts will open, and you can select whether it is your own customer or an external customer. You can search for the respective customer using the search bar.
- Click on the leasing contract and in the next step select the type of damage.
- Finally, the details of the damage will be requested. The corresponding fields must be filled out and an invoice or cost estimate (KVA) must be uploaded.
- Then submit the damage report, and the process will be forwarded to our insurance for processing. You will receive feedback via email promptly.
Different Procedure: Tire Puncture
For tire punctures, we work with a credit note procedure. Therefore, the process differs slightly here.
- You also open the leasing contract under Report Damage and select Tire Puncture as the type of damage.
- Then the details of the damage will also be requested.
- The difference is that you now specify the replacement parts, labor values, and prices, and you will receive this amount as a credit. The credit note is stored in the portal under Credits. We do not require an invoice or cost estimate (KVA).
